Nothing on this board is soldered that does not have to be. Switches lift out with the puller in the box; the plate is gasket-mounted and the case opens with six screws.
Firmware is QMK, flashed over USB with no vendor software and no account. The layout you set survives being plugged into another machine, because it lives on the board.
