Choosing an appointment
If you have a referral, start with the service named by your referring clinician. For a new enquiry, the primary care page explains the first consultation pathway. Appointment information is intended to help you understand the process; it does not determine which investigation or treatment is appropriate for an individual.
Consultations, investigations and treatment visits may be separate bookings. Confirm the branch, duration, scope and fee before attending. The visitor guide brings together the practical questions to ask when an appointment is arranged.
Which appointment should I choose?
Start with the service directory. It explains the purpose of each appointment type and the questions to clarify before booking. If you have a referral, use the service named by your referring clinician. The general enquiry form is for administrative questions only.
Can I arrange more than one service on the same day?
A real clinic may coordinate separate appointments, but this depends on the service, branch and availability. Confirm each appointment individually and leave enough time between them. The times displayed in this demo are not live bookings.
What should I bring to a first visit?
Bring the documents listed in your appointment confirmation, any relevant referral or reports you have been asked for and a list of the questions you would like to discuss. Keep sensitive records off the demonstration enquiry form.
How are fees explained?
The fees page shows a sample schedule and distinguishes consultations from separately arranged services. A real clinic should confirm the fee and what it includes before you agree to the appointment. Any change in scope should be discussed with you.
Can someone come with me?
Ask the branch about its arrangements for a parent, carer, interpreter or support person. If you need help communicating or getting around the building, explain this when arranging the visit so that the team can confirm what is available.
How do I change an appointment?
For a real booking, use the contact details in your confirmation. Tell the clinic which appointment needs to change and ask about any notice period or cancellation terms. This website does not hold appointments, so the example selections cannot be cancelled or confirmed.
Specialist departments
Neurology
A neurological consultation begins with the reason for referral and any existing correspondence or investigation reports. When arranging a first visit, confirm the type of appointment requested and whether reports should be supplied in advance through the clinic’s appropriate contact route.
During the consultation, there is time to explain the questions you would like to cover and clarify the next step. Any further investigation or separate appointment should be explained before it is arranged. Ask how the consultation summary will be shared with you and your referring clinician.
Specialist appointment enquiriesPaediatrics
When booking an appointment for a child, confirm the age range seen by the service and the clinic’s requirements for a parent or accompanying adult. Let the team know about any communication or access arrangements that need to be confirmed before arrival.
Bring the documents requested in the appointment confirmation and the questions you would like to discuss. The consultation is an individual appointment for the child; separate appointments may be needed for other family members. The provider should explain consent, confidentiality and how follow-up information is shared.
Family appointment informationLaboratory services
Laboratory visits are organised around the request from the responsible clinician. The booking team checks the requested service, the appropriate branch and whether a separate sample-collection appointment is needed. Availability and report timing should be confirmed for the particular investigation.
Use only the preparation instructions issued by the actual provider. If they are unclear or missing, contact the clinic before attending rather than relying on general website content. Before leaving, confirm who receives the result and how it will be discussed with the clinician responsible for your care.
